Sean Bernsohn

Managing Director, Debt Capital Markets

Sean leads the Debt Capital Markets and Restructuring efforts at Cohen & Company Capital Markets, bringing over 20 years of experience in investment banking and restructuring.

Having executed over $100 billion in transactions for a broad spectrum of clients, including top-tier financial sponsors and public companies, Sean has deep expertise in arranging financing in the syndicated loan, high yield, and private debt markets. In addition to his leveraged finance background, he has provided complex restructuring advice to both debtors and creditors in distressed and workout situations.

Prior to joining CCM, Sean held senior roles within the Barclays and RBC Capital Markets Leveraged Finance teams, where he facilitated substantial capital raises in both syndicated and private markets. Most recently, Sean served as a Managing Director within FTI Capital Advisors, leading the successful launch of their Debt Capital Markets advisory team.

Sean holds an MBA from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business and a B.S. in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
