Rahul Jasuja

Managing Director, Head of Energy and Energy Transition

Rahul is a Managing Director and Head of Energy & Energy Transition at Cohen & Company Capital Markets. He leads the firm’s advisory and capital markets efforts across the energy value chain, with a particular focus on traditional energy, energy & power infrastructure, and energy transition technologies.

Rahul brings more than 20 years of investment banking experience advising corporate executives, boards, and sponsors on strategic M&A, equity and debt capital raises, and complex financing transactions. Throughout his career, he has advised on more than 30 M&A transactions representing over $50 billion in transaction value and played a leading role in structuring and executing more than $100 billion of debt financings and $13 billion of bookrun equity offerings, including IPOs and follow-ons.

Prior to joining Cohen & Company Capital Markets, Rahul was Lead Partner at Mast Capital Advisors, where he led the firm’s energy coverage and strategic advisory franchise. Earlier, he was a senior investment banker at Wells Fargo Securities, where he led the firm’s Integrated Energy investment banking coverage globally. His prior roles include senior positions at Citigroup, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, UBS, and BNP Paribas.

Rahul’s sector expertise spans traditional energy and power infrastructure as well as emerging energy transition technologies such as renewables, sustainable fuels, and advanced power systems. He holds an MBA with Dean’s Honors from Columbia Business School and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
