Gen Takahashi

Vice President, Investment Banking

Gen has over 6 years of investment banking experience specializing in M&A advisory, SPAC advisory and capital-raising. During his time at Cohen & Company Capital Markets he has been a key member of the M&A and SPAC advisory team across multiple industries. Prior to CCM, Gen was an Associate in the Financial Institutions Group at Guggenheim Securities where he executed M&A and capital raising transactions primarily in the Specialty Finance, Fintech and Insurance sectors. Gen also has experience as an instructor at Training The Street, the leading financial training firm for investment banking, consulting and corporate clients. Prior to his finance career, Gen was a Combat Engineer Officer in the United States Marine Corps and a Special Agent covering Counterintelligence in the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Gen holds an MBA from Cornell University and an LL.B from Keio University in Tokyo, Japan.
