Daniel Sheriff

Managing Director, Head of Private Credit

Daniel Sheriff is a finance professional with experience spanning private credit, corporate banking, and structured finance. His expertise includes credit underwriting, financial analysis, and capital structuring, with a focus on developing financing solutions for companies with complex capital needs.

Prior to CCM, Daniel was a Founder and Co-Head of Catalyst Strategic Credit Group, where he focused on private credit origination and debt advisory for lower middle-market and middle-market companies, overseeing financial modeling, credit underwriting, and transaction execution. Previously, he worked at PNC Financial Services Group, where he underwrote and negotiated debt facilities for companies ranging from $100 million in annual revenue to Fortune 500 enterprises.

Daniel holds a B.A. in Strategic Communications from High Point University and finance certifications from Harvard Business School. He served six years in the U.S. military, including four years in the Marine Corps as a Battle Tank Technician, followed by service in the Army National Guard as an Infantryman. He continues to serve his community as a volunteer firefighter and EMT in Wake Forest, North Carolina, where he resides with his wife and two dogs.
